Our family gathered last nite to do our own countdown for 2011 . Greetings and wishes exchanged and shortly after , retired to a good nite sleep .
I made sure monster apologised and resolve not to repeat mistakes made the last few days !
(i) no more outburst with all the repeated condemns and accusations - totally unmanly
(ii) no travelling with the dog .
I also revealed why i should have a grudge against the PERSON in mention .
(i) J was still a baby , sleeping on the bouncer net in the hall , in the old wooden hse .
(ii0 this person has purposely swept without bothering on poor J , if only he knows now !
(iii) This blessed lady favoritised 2 other nephew and niece , hid the toys away from J .
Commented that no doubt she has mellowed since then .
I am glad the story was out last night .

Horiffic service by TM
Recap
Wireless Internet Access installed on 12.11.2010
Blockbuster deal activated on 6.12.2010 .
Beautiful fast speed , uninterrupted access for a few days .
Then horror began
interrupted service which I didnt bother with - attributed it to weather , line , holiday season - thats what i thought .
Actually paid attention to the whole horror on 22nd in particular 23 and 24th when there is complete no access .
- Just pwr and wlan button on .
Contact 100 for online assistance on 25th dec , ( 1-7671-1951-23)
- online gal asked me to do a few things , failed and referred me to the technical division . 24 hr dateline given . nite , man came online to help . service came back , unstable .
2nd report to 100 on 29th ( 1-7681-1137-1) when totally no access again on 27 and 28th .
- online gal asked to do a few changes again to our laptop . jared helped . no avail . referred to technical side again .
- man called me when i was in the mountain at 7 pm and i made appointment to speak to him on 8 pm .
- told him from the begginning again . he said he will do everything to help .
- access only for a short while on 3oth . while accessible , very very unstable . Then blackout again .
-TM man from Kluang came at 4r sth , decided that it is the port hub oputside , went to repair ? anyway access came back a short while and then no more again .

- talked to fatimah bte mohammad ID VT 865155 for 15 minutes . Told her the whole story , asked her to note it down clearly . also told her i dont want to foolow any instruction again ( meddling with the computer ) , just get the right help so that i can access again .
- also told her that i cam contemplating to stop service but then already signed up for min 6-months - agreement ,
- commented what was the use of paying so much and cant access . she sympathised .
- SHE TOLD ME NO REPORT NUMBNER COZ THE 2ND REPORT IS STILL OPENED .
- BUT NO CALL WHATSOEVER TO INFORM ME .
Note : 3rd report on 31st . nothing from TM online , or technical side , or local TM ever contacted me to say anything .
checked access regularly . no change till 12:05 midnight . DSL blinked then steadied . Data red . can access but interuppted al lthe time . Data went blank again but came back on its own .

TM man came to the rescue !
Just for my own record !
Subscribed to the new blockbuster package in mid Nov . Account activated a month later , that is early Dec . I was told ovder the phone that it is 6 Dec when i called TM point to enquire about the activation .
Internet access was smooth only for a few days but after that things are back to the normal . Service interrupted like before , a day or 2 I wont be connected . Fumbling around with a few cables - I got it back again . always enquired from immediate neighbout about their connection - no problem with theirs !
these episodes went on for a while and on 23 , 24 dec - totally nothing . On the modem , only the power and wlan button on . the rest blank . I decided to call 100 for assistance , tedious affair with the online help but to no avail . I was surrendered to their technicians . On the same nite , at around 9 pm (,I called 100 in the nmorning around that time 9 am ) , technician came to my rescue . Managed to get things solved , that is to say , I could access the net again . But the speed was slow , i attributed it to heavy traffic since it was christmas time and end of year . Then for 2 days before yesterday ( 27 & 28th ) , problem came back again .
i called 100 again , went through some instructions with the online assistance ( a gal ) , to no avail . She again sought technician help . The technician called me last nite at 8 pm ( appointment made at 7 pm ) , and he promised to help . he has not called back since then .
Thios morning , tried and tried and finally at arounf 10:45 am , access came back . But not stable . The data button can go red and oof again , but came back on its own .
Then at around 4:30 pm , some TM man came . I told them of the problem , they laughed sarcastically ( at the info i gave , not at me though ) and decided that it must be the port problem . They told me they will solve it " outside " .
At this moment , i checked , the data button blinked but seems quite stable . Yet to see !

Monster in the house !
I have the most insecure Monster living under the same roof ! He claims to be the champion and the guradian of his FAMILY ( which is actually his sisters , brothers and nephews ) . His family does not include his sister -in-laws , brother-in-laws and definitely not OUTLAWS !
Man - if you are reading this page , which I know you cant ( not you wont ) , dont forget the horror stories i hear about your 2 sister-in-laws , one of them is really getting on your nerve . Good for you or else you think that you are the almighty . At least somebody is challenging you ! You lose to her , of course . She has a wider circle of friends to spread stories about you . I get to hear some of it too !
As for your borther-in-laws - how come you hate him so much ? i know you dont like his wife too but because he is your sister , you are putting up so much coz you need her to take you to the PLACE !
Well , I am not going to be quiet about things . The kids are big enough to judge who is the unreasonable one . You made a mistake few days ago , your son witness the circus you caused but he didnt comment out of respect ! After all , you are his old man and he is beholden to you !
There you go again today ! Now your other son witness the bias , the insecurity in you .
My reaction this afternoon is a clear and loud warning to you - I wont stand up to all these nonsense anymore !i am not going to keep quiet !

Reading & vocabulary
I am reading Mao's Last Dancer , already into the last few chapters . I read the book whenever I have the time and the mood . mostly in the afternoon and before sleep .
I love to read but this is not the genre that I will pick for myself . What are my personal preferences ? Espionage , courtroom drama , fiction but must be related to current affairs - like WMD , nuclear proliferation , cyber war ......
I am amused at how I ended up buying this book .A month ago , I was shopping at a local book store with a friend , Ms R . I assured her that I can pay for her first since Ms R did not bring much cash that day .
At one point , Ms R showed me this book Mao's Last Dancer and told me that it is a good book to read . The book cost about RM 50 . So I thought she wanted to make the purchase , I took the book from her hand and planned to pay for her first . At the payment counter , I was surprised that Ms R also lined up to make payment for a few other English reference books that she has picked . After paying , she commented that i would definitely enjoy Mao's Last Dancer . Then only did I realise that she did not have any intention to purchase that book , she was just recommending one to me . Thanks Ms R , i enjoy reading the book , it really opens my eyes to what life was like under Mao's rule .
Today , I read with interest of the development of Stuxnet from Newsweek magazine and how the most sophisticated computer worm ever detected and analysed is targeting Iranian Nuclear program .Interestingly , it is a weapon created by a state ( ?? ) to achieve a goal that might otherwise have used multiple cruise missiles to achieve .Microsoft has estimated that building this virus likely took 10 000 man days of labour by only top- rank software engineers . this worm is not designed to spread far and wide , or doing damage wherever it landed . It is structured to target specific set of devices manufactured by Finland and Iran . These devices are used to determine the speed that the centrifuges rotate ( Uranium enrichment ) . And since Iranian nuclear program's computers are not connected to Internet , the worm cant be introduced online . It's presumed to have come from a USB flash drive that was infected .
Isn't this interesting enough to read ? I will try to get hold of the latest book by Clarke : Cyber War - the next threat to national security and what to do about it .

2010 coming to a close !
It is that time of the year again , I must take stock of the years happenings - actions , inactions , indulgences , achievements ........ A reflection will do me good in preparation for the coming year .

Internet Access down for 2 days !
When people talked about the poor and unreliable internet access provided by TM , I didnt quite agree with them . I am getting a dose of this of late .
Early November , I chose to change my streamyx account to the new Blockbuster deal ! Indeed !
The vendor that was assigned to install the wireless modem is a separate story . The blessed guy came only after we lodgde a complaint with the TM PR department . When he left , our poor laptop recorded over 30 locations with virus infections . Of course , I have no choice but to suspect that he has planted them there ! The viruses are just sitting quietly somewhere in the laptop now ! Quarrantined !
Regarding the access , on days that are good .... everything is satisfacory . wireless - ok , access speed - ok . But there were numerous occasions when service interruptions lasted for 2 days at least . I am talking about the most recent one . ( 23,24 and 25th )
At 6 pm today , I decided to call 100 . was agitated with this online assistance . The phone is away from the modem , needed another person to help .
For all the times I checked today and yesterday , only the PWR button is lighted up . Occasionally the DSL blinked too .... but most of the time , it is just PWR and WLAN buttons lighted up only .
After dinner , to my pleasant surprise , all 3 buttons lighted up and I was able to access with cable .
Then at about 9:45 pm , a male techincian called from HQ . He reported that system checks revealed that everything is OK . In the end , it was discovered that my wireless capability is not turned on . I am yet to find out where the wireless button is .
No wonder it is often said that every day we live , we learn . i definitely have learnt quite a bit today about trouble shooting .

Ugly Looking Dog getting in my way
Trip to KLIA was upset with the announcement of un unwanted passenger ! I made a right choice of not going on this trip tomorrow . My plans to give new cushion cover to the car + a CD player with USB will be shelved temporarily . I definitely will follow my mood . Why shouldnt I ?
The trip to Pantai Hospital cost me just RM 700 after RM 50 discount . My mad partner gave a hard kick on the side entrance glass door , IT CRACKED ! He is really an insecure man with much hatred harbored in him . Soembody got to tell him . Better if he can realise it himself ! I have not seen a man who harbours so much hate for everyone . he can be cruel to his own borthers and sister-in-law not including many of his neighbours ! Well , imagine his attitude towards OUTLAWS !
But the good news i received today is every of my kids will be back ! i am looking forward to that !

Thyroxicosis review
Went for my Thyroxicosis review today at around 3 PM . Thank God , it was a good report .
Doc's order - stick to 2 pills 3X a day for another month . Cost me $55 .
On the way to Doc , stopped by Utama to make appointment for J . On , 11 am tomorrow .

Neighbourly Gestures
We are so blessed today .
First , Shirley came with a plate of fried Kuih Teow and then Angelmi came a little later with 3 buns that she made herself .
Our dinner is taken care of ! Since we were so busy doing house cleaning , the kind gestures from the 2 neighbours were most welcome .

What a relief ! Finally the old bike is given away ! It has been standing there for umpteen years , leaking black oil that smears the floor tiles . Other than being an eyesore , I also fear it could harbour snakes . The New owner is Shamsudin Bin Madom , may you enjoy the new bike !

Sungkunkwan Scandal came to an end last night - I really hope there will be a sequel . SKS has the best cast and Very well acted . I love them all expecially LSJ , KIm YuSik , Gu Yongha , Jaesin , proctor and the Prime Minister . Will I be watching the 20 episodes again ? you bet !

What a pleasant surprise ! Christine and Michael drove here just to close an old account at PB . We had lunch at Rail Coffee but all i had was just Chum and a toasted bun .
My Wira is back !
Went up to KL on 11th Dec to bring back Wira for a new coat of paint . Wow , havent driven it since 15th May . I think Milo and Japan were surprised too!
